No. Liposculpture removes fat from deep layers, while cellulite originates in the superficial layer due to fibrous bands that pull on the skin. They are structurally different problems and each requires a distinct approach. In some cases, lipo can even make pre-existing dimples more visible.

Can cellulite get worse after liposuction?

Yes, it is possible. By removing fat that maintained a certain tension under the skin, the skin can loosen and make dimples more apparent, especially in patients with inelastic skin or moderate to severe cellulite. That is why the prior evaluation of skin quality and elasticity is essential before defining a plan.

What treatments actually work to reduce cellulite?

The treatments with the strongest evidence act on the fibrous bands that cause dimples. Subcision (systems like Aveli or Cellfina), subcutaneous laser, and radiofrequency show significant results. None eliminates it 100% permanently, but they can achieve notable improvements, especially for moderate cellulite.

How long does it take to see the final result of liposculpture on the skin?

Do anti-cellulite creams or massages work to eliminate cellulite?

Am I a candidate for liposculpture if I have cellulite?

It depends on each case. Patients with mild cellulite and good skin elasticity tend to achieve better results.
